Mexican American Opportunity Foundation

The Community Service Budget provides funding of a day care center operated by the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation in Patriot Park. The mission of the Foundation is to provide for the socioeconomic betterment of the greater Latino community of California, while preserving the pride, values and heritage of the Mexican American culture.

Some of the services that the foundation provides include:
  • Community Care Licensing Division for persons wishing to become Family Day Care Home Provider
  • Community Resource Information Service Referrals to public and private social and community resources in our service area
  • Free workshops on child care-related topic
  • Information about child care options for children with special needs
  • Licensing meetings conducted in Spanish and English by the Department of Social
  • Quarterly newsletter and monthly bulletin with information on child care issues
  • Referrals to child and family-related services
  • Referrals to licensed and exempt child care centers and family day care homes near Greenfield home or place of employment
  • Technical assistance for persons interested in becoming licensed to provide child care
  • Technical assistance in completing applications for community services relating to child care
  • Toy Lending Library - includes books, videos, toys as well as sleeping mats, cribs and high chairs
