The Building Division provides State of California mandated enforcement of building and construction codes and enforcement of local requirements as related to land use, zoning, health, and safety, including enforcement of the City’s abatement regulations regarding public nuisances and dangerous buildings.
Building Division Information:
Office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Walk-in visits to the Building Counter are accepted; however to guarantee that appropriate staff will be available; please schedule an appointment by contacting City Hall at (831) 674-5591.
All building permit inspections are done BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. All inspections must be scheduled 24 hours in advance by contacting the Permit Clerk. If you are unsure whether or not your project requires a permit, please contact the Building Division. Additional information is available via the Resources link.
